Growing up. We all do it, or do we?
I was chatting with a friend the other day and she shared a story with me about her meeting a man, going out, having a truly marvelous 7 hour date filled with great conversation, laughter and a true meeting of the minds and then he never called her. So she called him, however she still never heard back from him. This is a woman in her early 50's as well as the gentleman was. As she shared her story with me this thought popped into my head: It very well was that he saw her vibration and wasn't willing to grow up or into that vibration for a sustained period of time beyond the date. We all know that each person has a vibration that can be felt and we are drawn to certain vibrations over others.
When we allow ourselves to grow up to the vibrations that we know are higher than our own at a given time then we are truly ''growing up.' Growing up is not limited to intellectual knowledge or becoming a responsible adult. Growing in our capacity to give and receive love is to cooperate with the Law of Growth and then and only then are we doing what we are all put on this earth for, evolving into our highest self.
After I shared my thoughts with my friend she nodded her head in agreement. We both sat for a moment and meditated on this new idea about growing up. Then we moved on to other less weighty topics.
I encourage you to not become discouraged when you are in the midst of the dating scene. Don't take it personal when a guy doesn't call you back. Quite possibley he or you simply aren't willing to grow up just yet.
