I am unashamed to be determined to achieve my goals and dreams.
Welcome to my new weekly series: Wednesday's Word.
We all know that the power of life lies in our thoughts which results in us putting those thoughts into words or word forms in the wy that people who are involved in traditional artistic executions do. Thus, words are very powerful. Words help us to articulate meaning. To make meaning. To express ourselves. Words are an extension of our creative power.
The word for this Wednesday is Determination.
For the past 2 weeks on my blog talk radio show The Creative Entrepreneur, both of my guests, social media expert DeAnna Troupe and actressKaren Malina Whiteof The Proud Family, mentioned determination as one of the top 5 skills successful entrepreneurs and successful people should have. I whole heartedly agree with both of these ladies.
Yesterday I had a day where I truly had to practice being unashamed to be determined to achieve my goals. I had challenge after challenge presented to me as I went about my day running errands and trying to get work done. First, I almost ran out of gas trying to get my car inspected. The only gas station near he inspection station was closed and I had to drive 10 miles on fumes to get some fuel. But, when I got back to the inspection station the line was gone and I was out in 20 minutes. Next, I tried do get my license renewed. I checked the times on line but when I got to the location it was permanently closed (would have been nice for the DC government to add that info next to the change in times) anyway I'm on my way to get my new license in a minute. Lastly, my internet service went out. I did some business via my cell phone but managed to get a 1st appointment for THursday for a tech to visit my home.
Lot's of things can trip us up and jam up our flow, but if you keep determination at the fore front of your mind you can handle anything that comes your way!
Remember, time is precious. Do your happy dance. Enjoy life!
